Books available:

Wine: A Tasting Course – Hardcover / 2014  $25
Reviewers have called Marnie's new fully-illustrated book "revolutionary", "brilliant" and "refreshingly direct".  By harnessing the power of images to communicate complex wine concepts, this crash course teaches practical skills and organizing principles without taking the fun out of wine.

Wine Secrets– Hardcover / 2010  $20
This terrific little book is a collection of concise wine advice from 40 top experts in the field.  Marnie has compiled insider insights on tasting, pairing, serving and shopping for wine from an impressive roster of famous vintners, authors, chefs and sommeliers.

He Said Beer, She Said Wine– Softcover / 2008  $17
In her first book, Marnie goes toe to toe with co-author and brewing legend Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in a lively and entertaining debate on the relative merits of beer and wine as food partners.  Packed with photos on every page, this light-hearted book is a delightful romp through the world of wine and beer, a humorous take on topics that are often taken too seriously.

About the Horner Memorial Library:

The beautiful and historic Joseph P. Horner Memorial Library is both a lending library and a research facility.  Built in 1888, its elegant airy reading room was recently restored by the German Society of Pennsylvania to its original splendor.  The library occupies a two-storied room lined with galleried bookcases and balconies.  It houses more than 60,000 volumes, three-quarters of which are in German, and is considered the largest private collection of German books in the United States (outside of universities).
